Cambridge Five Spy Ring Part 07

Wire to mother signed 'Teento BAFFLED in their attempts to trace the vanished diplomats, the French Surete issued last night photo- graphed copies of the two telegrams sent by or for Donald Maclean. The message sent to his mother was signed with a family nick- name, "Teento," which only he, or someone close to the family, would know. Close examination of the texts showed, however, that they were probably written by a Continental with a fair to fluent knowledge of English.
